A collection of marks exploring how form speaks when words fall silent
The Language of Motion
Communication Bird started as an experiment in simplicity, trying to capture voice without sound. Its design has a single, flowing curve that makes both a bird and a speech bubble, representing messages that move smoothly between form and meaning. It embodies the ideal of communication: clear, lively, and easy to share.
Energy in Restraint
The FF Mark explores tension and balance through negative space. Two mirrored strokes rise, each shaping the other. This design represents dual creation: design and idea, presence and absence. Alejandro applies a similar method, using movement—a curved arc crossed by an arrow—to express direction. It conveys focus and intent shaped by design.
The Instinct Within Structure
Rove Animal concludes the series with a typographic design featuring lively letterforms. This mark emphasizes rhythm over the word itself, using shapes that suggest movement and instinct beyond strict structure. Its simplicity gives it character. The main idea stays the same across all four marks: clarity comes from saying only what is necessary.
